Rui Almeida was born in Santarém, Portugal in 1980. Photographs since 2006 and since then has become his main hobby.

All that learned in photography was by trial and error, being the internet a great way of learning and also an excellent way to display the work, making it possible to receive constructive feedback from other photographers.

Over time some images have been invited to take part in magazines, brochures, books, exhibitions and even appeared in television ads. In recent years with this hobby, there have been customers of international name such as Microsoft, Amazon, BBC, De Agostin, AOL, Spotify etc

Quite self-critical with their work, seeking perfection within imperfection, the uneasy peace, the restless quiet, the beauty in decay …
Like several styles, from landscape photography, abandoned places, digital manipulation among others.

And In this context he published a book that mixes images with titles alluding to poetry, give something to think about those who glimpses.

Called “Poetry in Images”, released by publisher Mindaffair in July 2014, is available in Portuguese and English in limited version.

In December to 10th January 2015 makes its first physical exhibition at the Cultural Center of Cartaxo (Portugal).
